Do you feel like your marriage is in the same rut? Like you do the same things all of the time and you want to shake things up? Here are some great new “date” ideas that can help you in keeping your marriage healthy. We all know the importance of continuing to date our spouse and making that the most important relationship in our lives.
- Try something physical. Go rafting, kayaking, play tennis…basically anything that gets your heart rate up. Doing something together, will help to create a deeper bond while creating things that you and your spouse have in common!
- Go out to breakfast! Make a date first thing in the morning. Dates don’t have to include dinner and a movie!
- Go to a museum, or exhibit. What a great way to see something new, keep the conversation and experience something new, while creating memories.
- Start a project together. Build something, garden together, just do it together! Choose something you would both like to create and work side by side.
- Take a day off together. Take a day off in the middle of the week and dedicate it to your spouse. Do things with each other that you normally would not on the weekends.
Keep things fresh and new, and remember that relationships need to grow as the people within them grow. Growing together and not apart is the key point in dating your spouse. Keeping your marriage the most important relationship will ensure that even when the kids are gone from the house, that you are still married to your best friend, and that you have things in common with them.
Marriage is hard, anyone who tells you different, has never been married! But the hard work pays off if you allow it to! Keep communication open and date your spouse! Is your marriage struggling? Do you need help as a couple or personally? Please contact Paul and he will help you.
