The incomprehensible physical and mental pain and anguish that comes alive in dreams. Our dreams come from are memories of happy occasions and from our bad memories. Memories, both good and bad, are stored in our subconscious. How and why a particular memory comes the surface, I do not know.
Of importance in this article are the effects of dreams upon our sleep, personal energy to do our daily chores, work, and the energy we need to repair and clean our bodies as we sleep.
The memories of our life whether young or old, such as your parents divorcing, or the grief that comes when someone you love dies, the child whose parent does not come home alive from combat, the veteran who hears blasts, yelling and screams of his own voice and that of his comrades, parents physically fighting, alcohol abuse, you and your siblings being left alone, and when you awaken you awake drenched in sweat and asking yourself “what just happened?”
Still dreaming & waking up, you find yourself stumbling into the bathroom, taking care of your personal needs.
Nevertheless some of the essence of that dream is still in your mind, you wonder was it real!
You shake it off, and continue with your day. Sometimes completely forgetting about the dream and you live your life.
There are other times the dreams travels with you.
I remember some of the dreams I had years later after I quit smoking. These dreams were extremely real. In the dream I had smoked a cigarette. I remember tasting, and smelling the cigarette. I believed that I had broken my many years of abstinence from cigarettes. As my day progressed I realized that it was only a dream. I thought my G-d I had gone through most of that day thinking that I had smoked a cigarette!
What happens when you dream about a terrible incident, something that happened to you or that you witnessed. When you awaken, that dream may still have an effect upon you, how you will treat your family, politely, or screaming.
There are also times when your dream is a dream of bliss. You awaken literally with a smile on your face. You body feels good. You are not exhausted. – I say lets’ have more of them.
